Where it started

Enterprise architect at Lufthansa, PwC, IBM. Rooms of 40, six-month timelines, the gap between "I designed this" and "this shipped." Years of designing solutions between business and IT while watching the same architectures get watered down on the way to production.

The turn

The architect-who-can't-ship trade-off felt wrong. AI changed the equation for what one person could do. Not just code faster — actually build the things I'd previously only specified.

Now

Building dronelist.io solo. Proof that one person with the right stack and AI fluency can do what used to require a team. Seven specialized agents, a 3-tier execution model, all shipped from a single laptop.

What drives it

AI architecture is the work of the next decade — not because models are everything, but because the systems around them determine whether they're useful or dangerous. Anthropic's approach to safety as a constraint that produces better models, not weaker ones, is the bet I want to be on.
